How to order a Dummy

Dummies are a great way to show concepts and present visuals to clients and are useful when estimating mailing and printing costs. We can create dummies from the paper you want and finish them with your choice of binding.

When ordering your dummy:

1. Enter the number of dummies you require.

2. For both the Cover and Text, identify the materials you want to use, brand, colour, and the number of pages. Note: the number of pages refers to ”printed sides”, and not the number of leaves.

3. Include details of any other additional text to be included in the ”Other” field.

4. Enter the final size of the dummy in millimetres.

5. Select the format required: Portrait, Landscape or Square.

6. Select the finish required: Perfect Bound, Saddle Stitched, WiroBound, Self Cover, or Folder.
Perfect Bound: A binding method that uses glue to bind the loose leaves to the book cover via the spine.
Saddle Stitched: A binding method in which a booklet is stapled together in the seam where its sheets are folded.
WiroBound: A procedure in which holes are punched near the spine and a wire is fitted around the spine then clenched closed.

7. To avoid misunderstandings, upload a diagram explaining your sample dummy requirements. PDF or JPEG only.
